Electrical & Automation Maintenance Engineer – Food Industry Jobs!

Purpose of the Job:

Plan and execute all preventive and corrective maintenance (PM, CM) activities for factory electrical equipment, automations, and instrumentations. Improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), reduce maintenance costs, eliminate quality failures, and ensure business continuity.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Automation & PLC Maintenance: Ensure PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS programs, software, and hardware are up to date and in excellent running condition.
2. Instrumentation: Maintain and calibrate instruments (level, pressure, temperature, speed, weight, etc.) and control systems.
3. OT/IT Network: Ensure uninterrupted communication and optimal performance of OT networks and related equipment.
4. Power Supply: Maintain transformers, power supply systems, electrical panels, and UPSs for uninterrupted operations.
5. Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and improve PM plans and schedules.
6. Breakdown Support: Provide on-site technical support and proactive response to breakdowns.
7. Spare Parts Management: Arrange and order spare parts, electronics, and consumables within budget.
8. Collaboration: Work with projects, stores, planning, production, and quality teams to communicate PM schedules.
9. Continuous Improvement: Initiate projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
10. Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on KPIs, targets, and projects.
11. Health & Safety: Strictly follow health, safety, and food safety procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Technical background required; Mechatronics Engineering degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and automation systems (food industry experience is a plus).
• Skills:
  • Ability to read P&IDs, electrical diagrams, and software diagrams.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs and making changes to HMIs and SCADAs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for software, instruments, and automation systems.
• Languages: Fluent in English.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Work Ethic: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
