Introduction
The story of the
Pakistan Army's development is the story of the birth of Pakistan, from its beginnings
as a regal legacy's freckled nucleus to its present status as a cutting-edge
and combat-tested field Army. It is an era of development that leaves behind
its trials and tribulations, catastrophes, and conflicts, as it struggled with
a lack of resources to begin its shaping years. This army may be one of the few
in history to have experienced a war right when it was formed, and throughout
the years, in addition to defending the nation's physical borders, it has
consistently been ready to defend its spiritual borders as well.
Only when a nation
is confident that its protectors are capable of providing security and
maintaining peace can it dream of socioeconomic progress and development. In
Pakistan's situation, a solid defense was an even more obvious necessity to
face encounters and hostilities with unwavering fortitude. In addition to
protecting the nation's borders, our gallant warriors of the courageous Armed
Forces consistently stayed at the forefront of national advancement. The
performance of our officers and men consistently garnered national and
international plaudits from both their allies and adversaries, whether it was
in the face of floods, earthquakes, and other natural calamities, maintaining
law and order, or supporting UN peace efforts.
