Introduction
The medical
college is named for the German-Pakistani physician and nun, Fazaia Ruth Pfau.
[2] In February 2019, Karachi was founded as an affiliate of Air University,
Islamabad. Public university Air University in Islamabad was established in
2002 and is run by the Pakistan Air Force. The medical school at Air University
offers a program with a spiral curriculum that is modular in nature. This
curriculum was created by a group of specialists in medical education in
accordance with Pakistan Medical Commission recommendations.
The Fazaia Ruth PfauMedical College in Karachi was founded with the goal of educating and training future doctors utilizing a community-oriented, holistic approach rather than a disease-focused one. The cornerstone of an effective instructional plan will be the significance of evidence and research in clinical decision-making. To examine the curriculum and give the community health issues in the teaching program priority, community health specialists have been enlisted. Logic, knowledge, and social empathy will be taught to the students as the three main components of patient care.
